Valeria Muro - 2nd presentation Blog

Valeria Muro 2nd Presentation Blog Post November 6, 2025 My group was the first to present in this round, and we chose the topic of environmental and public safety, focusing on how these areas connect with the economy. I believe our presentation was strong and well-organized. This time, we decided to include more visual elements to make it more engaging for the audience. I really liked how we kept a consistent structure while allowing each member to express their individual style. We discussed many aspects of the environment-from laws that have been passed to personal actions we should consider to improve in the future. We also explored public safety both in the U.S. and abroad, highlighting how different countries approach it in unique ways. To conclude, we tied together our three main points-environment, safety, and economy-and explained how economic conditions influence environmental and safety issues in our country. We also included an interview with one of Trinity's friends wh...

Victor Pedroso 2nd Presentation Blog Post

Victor Pedroso November 6, 2025     My group began this round of presentations, we chose the topic of environmental and public safety with a subtopic into the economy and how they correlate with each other. I think that my group gave an overall solid presentation. We decided to add in more visual effects this time around to make the presentation a bit more engaging. I liked how my group kept the same structure throughout our presentation yet kept everyone's individual touch to it. We covered many different aspects of our environment from laws that have been passed to what we should be asking our selves to do better in the future. We also went in depth with public safety in the U.S and abroad and how they both approached it in their own way. To wrap up the presentation we combined all three topics that we had and spoke on how the economy affects what environmental and safety issues that we take as a country. We also included an interview with a good friend of Trinity...

Blog post- Theme Project

By: Savannah Samuel This semester, public speaking has been an extremely educational and challenging experience for me because I've always been shy. In particular, my most recent theme project strengthened my understanding for how interrelated many societal challenges may be and expanded my knowledge of a wide range of topics. In addition to allowing me to learn more about the topic of my group, public safety and the environment—the assignment gave me the opportunity to gather insightful information from other groups that addressed issues like immigration, healthcare, and education. All in all, these presentations inspired me to think more critically about how the world works and how public communication may be utilized to raise awareness and inspire change. The first group to present was ours. There was some pressure to be the first to present, but there was also a sense of leadership and confidence. Our team was able to give a comprehensive and well-structured presentation. Brian...

Sury Canales - blog 2 theme project reflection

Throughout this project, our class had the opportunity to explore a wide range of crucial topics that impact not only our communities but the world as a whole. Each group delivered an insightful presentation, opening up conversations about issues that are often overlooked or misunderstood. As a member of Group 4 , I was especially proud to take part in creating a project with the themes of environment and public safety . Listening to the other groups also deepened my understanding of topics such as education in the United States versus the rest of the world , healthcare and immigration , and immigration and the economy . These presentations didn’t just share information they inspired reflection, awareness, and the realization of how interconnected these issues truly are. Group 4: Environment and Public Safety As part of Group 4 , my focus was on the environment and public safety , two topics that are increasingly vital in today’s society. Environmental issues, ranging from climate chan...

Blog 2 Presentation Reflection - Trinity

Trinity Fontela Blog 2 Presentation Reflection    Public speaking has been a wonderful class so far and this past project has truly expanded my mind and knowledge among a variety of topics. The theme project has helped me gain an abundance of knowledge on my group's topic, the environment and public safety, but also other group's topics such as healthcare, education, and more.    My group was the first to present which was different for us because we are accustomed to always presenting last because we are group 4. Nevertheless, we completed our presentation, and I believe we carried out a thorough and successful presentation. Brianna introduced the group with a great example of former President Reagan and his approach to regulation of laws and government oversight. She proceeded to introduce the principle focus of the group and that was, how does the United States protect the environment and public safety when politics, economies, and science collide? Victory kicked ...

Victor Pedroso's Blog Post

Victor Pedroso Blog Post  Group one’s presentation had a fun and electric feel to the slides and they used big pictures to not only showcase what they were talking about but to also keep the audience (us) engaged  Side note: Brianna and Carolina did good in presenting and closing out the groups, I feel that as they went doing each group they became more comfortable in the role.  Brianna started off by introducing the group and gave us a bit of a preview through her eyes of what we were going to learn. Christopher then started the group off with chapter one and spoke slowly so as to not rush what he was saying, allowing us to follow along. Christina then took over and showed that she really knew her content by giving examples and made us feel that she was having a one on one conversation with us. Donavan then followed along and maintained Christina’s speed. I did feel he was a bit nervous but overall pushed through. Daniel then jumped in and presented straight to th...

Group presentation reflection

Before this semester, I thought public speaking was just about standing up in front of an audience and delivering a message clearly. I never imagined how deep and multi layered it really is until our group project in public speaking class completely shifted my perspective. What started off as a class assignment evolved into a valuable learning experience that challenged my comfort zone, strengthened my communication skills, and helped me see the art of speaking from a much broader angle. Working as part of a team added a new dimension to the learning process. Each group member brought something unique to the table, and through our collaboration, we discovered how different viewpoints, experiences, and interpretations could deepen our understanding of what it means to communicate effectively. Rather than learning in isolation, we built our knowledge together through discussions, shared research, and constructive feedback. What I appreciated most was the hands on, student led format of...
